While these AI tools can save time and enhance creativity, protecting sensitive data is paramount. Follow these key guidelines when using any AI technology:

  • Never Upload Restricted Information: Avoid inputting sensitive details such as Social Security numbers, personal health data, or confidential project details into any AI tool. Even with secure tools, it’s best to err on the side of caution.

  • Adhere to County Policies: All AI use should comply with Van Buren County’s data privacy and cybersecurity protocols. If you’re unsure whether a tool is appropriate for a specific task, consult IT or your supervisor.

  • Keep Proprietary Data Secure: For sensitive projects, consider limiting AI involvement or only using tools approved for high-security tasks.
